Zielsetzung:

Entwicklung eines englischen Sprachtests als anwendungs- und berufsbezogene Alternative zu bestehenden Tests auf dem Niveau C 1 des europäischen Referenzrahmens.

Projektkonzept:

TOEBFI is envisioned as a specialty test for members of the banking, finance, and insurance community. This fully comprehensive test would evaluate the examinees capacity to speak, write, and read industry related materials using the English language.

A variety of English language tests currently exist on the market, including: GMAT, TOEFL, and TOEFIC to name a few. However, none of these tests adequately cater to the needs of students and professionals within the financial community. Consequently, industry members are regularly burdened to acquire non-reflective language credentials. The presence of TOEBFI would develop and streamline relevant skills for this important sector.

The Hochschule der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe is a newly accredited institution that is focused on the academic needs of members within the banking, finance, and insurance industry. As a new and growing institution, this hochschule is the perfect institution to carry the brand concept TOEBFI. As a hochschule brand, TOEBFI would be a true mark of innovation and modernisation.

The presence of TOEBFI within the Hochschule der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe would firstly enhance the universities domestic identity, giving an added value to German banks and industry professionals; secondly, TOEBFI would help to enhance the hochschule's international name recognition and prestige, making the Hochschule der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe a destination of preference amongst foreign institutions for exchange programs and other activities of interest.
